This is not your typical storyline of fairy tales you grew up reading about or watching in your favorite movies. “Into The Woods” is a modern twist on all of these tales with LOTS of singing. Initially this was a play on Broadway and Disney Studios has brought the story to life into a live action movie. With an all-star cast of Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Chris Pine and various, super talented Broadway actors and actresses truly make this movie riveting. I can’t believe the musical vocal range on some of these actors. This enchanted adventure of notable characters: Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, the Baker and his wife and the creepy Witch are all connected to enter the scary, woods. The Baker and his wife yearn to have a child and the witch is willing to reverse a curse if they do exactly what she says. It all comes together from there.
